Join Methow Cycle and Sport and Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance--Methow Chapter every second Sunday each month for much needed work on Methow Valley trails. The next work party is Sunday, May 8. Meet at the Chickadee Trailhead at 8 am with gloves, water and snacks for work on Pete's Dragon. We'll work until 11 am, then there will be time for a ride.

The annual Kid’s Bicycle Rodeo will be held from 10 a.m.-noon on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at TwispWorks and on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Pearrygin State Park. The event is designed for children aged 5-10. Participants will learn skills to ride safely, including hand signals, negotiating corners, riding a straight line and stopping and starting. Volunteers will also conduct bike helmet fittings and bike safety inspections.
Registration for the free event begins at 9:45 a.m. A signed parent permission form is required and will be available at registration. Bike helmets are also required to participate in the event. Bicycle helmets will be available for a $5 donation.
The Kid's Bike Rodeo is co-sponsored by Methow Cycle & Sport, Washington State Parks - Pearrygin, TwispWorks, Aero Methow Rescue Service, Winthrop Kiwanis, Fire District 6, and the Twisp Police.
Round 5 of the Fat Tire Revolution Series visits one of the all time PNW favorites… the fast and fun single track of beautiful Sun Mountain. The race takes place Saturday, June 18, 2016 at the Chickadee Trailhead in Winthrop, Washington. The course is yet to be finalized but you can expect approximately 10 miles of classic, swoopy Sun Mountain single track.

The fun event takes place from Friday, June 24, through Sunday, June 26, 2016 in Winthrop, Washington. Participants will experience great riding, socializing, drawings for prizes, and other mountain biking fun. All proceeds support the Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance - Methow Chapter's mission and efforts to improve mountain biking and trails in the Methow Valley.
The signature event for the Solstice is the optional all day point-to-point ride on Saturday. This year’s route will start near Loup-Loup Summit and take in the Bear Mountain and Middle Fork Beaver Creek trails in the national forest before crossing the Methow Wildlife Area on a variety of singletrack trails. A lunch stop at Pearrygin Lake State Park will refuel riders before a final short spin back to town on paved roads. The route is approximately 29 miles long and features 3000 feet of climbing and 5600 feet of descending. Registration will open soon. Questions? email@example.com
Part of the Methow Singletrack Solstice, a two-day, women only mountain biking skills camp taught by Angi Weston and Lindsey Voreis, both certified mountain bike instructors and long-time mountain bikers. This is for women who want to take their skills to the next level in a fun and supportive environment with fabulous female coaches filled with inspiration for mountain biking.
